Parenting Issues

Being a parent is challenging. You want to support your child and help them in the best way possible but sometimes it can be difficult to know exactly how to do that while also keeping your sanity. Our therapists are trained in the best parenting techniques to offer support and guidance as you navigate these times.

Anger

- If you or someone you love has anger issues, talk therapy can help. Our trained therapists will teach you skills to manage your overwhelming emotions and reactions. We also focus on finding the underlying issues that trigger your anger and deal with your issues from the root. CBT is the most recognized treatment for anger and with time and patience, you’ll be able to control yourself.

Family Counseling/Family Conflict

Family connection is so important. Sometimes things happen that disrupt the family unit leaving things in disarray. If left unaddressed that family conflict can grow and spiral out of control. Therapy offers a place where each family member can be heard and their specific issues addressed, while also considering what is best for the unit as a whole.

Kids/teens

Kids/Teen Counseling Children and teens go through a lot of changes emotionally and physically. Sometimes they need a little help managing their feelings and learning healthy ways to approach situational problems. At Enteave, our therapists provide a compassionate, emphatic space for your child to learn healthy coping techniques.

chronic pain/chronic illness

-Our mental state and physical health go hand-in-hand. When the mind or the body suffers, the other is sure to as well. Dealing with chronic pain or illness takes toll on our mind, and over time, we can begin feeling hopeless. Often our desire to stop or control the pain or illness causes our frustration to worsen. A healthy mindset can have a huge impact on how we cope with physical illness, and it can even improve our body’s ability to heal.

Grief/loss

-Lose can come in many forms; losing a loved one, a job, a pet, physical functioning, etc. Going through grief is a natural, yet a painful and often confusing experience. The mix of emotions can be overwhelming, guilt and regret can begin to dominate our thoughts. Grieving is never easy, but we can help you better understand what you are going through, and help you find better ways to get through this difficult time.

LGBTQ+

From social stigmas and identify struggles to uncertainty about sexual orientation, the challenges and complexities of living in a heteronormative society are substantial. At Enteave, we provide a judgement-free, open, supportive environment for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer or questioning, intersex, asexual, and allied individuals to find acceptance and guidance. We understand this is deeply personal and we want to help you find happiness, comfort, and clarity within yourself.

Women’s Issues

- We offer support for women who are dealing with sexism, infertility, becoming a mother, harassment, #metoo movement, gender based violence, and more. With a specialized approach to working with women, we are here to help you overcome your obstacles and provide a treatment plan.

Men’s Issues

- Just as we help with women’s issues, we’re also specialized in working with men’s issues. Some issues include: cultural norms, risk-taking, violence, emotional control, social status, and more. Men need to talk to a professional just as much as any other gender. We are here for you.
