Everyone deserves to live a meaningful, fulfilling life no matter their background, age, or circumstance. Amanda is passionate about helping people heal and grow, so they can find peace and live the best life possible. 


As a licensed professional counselor, Amanda has helped clients struggling with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, adjustment, self-esteem, stress management, life transitions. Amanda has experience working with highly diverse client populations in a variety of mental health settings. She has worked in community-based agencies, a telehealth pediatric program, school districts, and a university counseling center. She is well-versed in completing psychological assessments and providing crisis interventions.


She incorporates a variety of evidenced-based therapeutic modalities and techniques to build meaningful alliances with all her clients. She understands that what works for one person may not work for another. She takes a person-centered approach, individualizing care to each client. She uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, mindfulness, grounding techniques, and more. Amanda received her bachelor’s in psychology from Texas A&M University and her master’s in counseling from St. Edward’s University.
