Everyone should be met where they are. They should be treated with compassion, respect, and sensitivity. That is how Laura Squiers practices. She utilizes mindfulness, self-compassion, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques in her work with clients.  

As a licensed professional counselor, Laura is extensively trained in trauma-informed approaches, mindfulness, solution-focused brief therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy to help her clients. She wants to see everyone heal, grow, and thrive in life. No matter how difficult a hand you have been given, there is a way through. Laura can help. 

Laura has worked in a variety of settings and she has helped clients with a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, stress, anger, relationship problems, work/life balance, self-care, and parenting. She is there to provide support and guidance as you navigate life’s challenges, and to provide a new perspective. She understands that you are an expert in your own life.

Laura received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Stephen F. Austin State University and her master’s in mental health counseling from St. Edward’s University. She also received a certification in Positive Discipline.

Laura takes a client-centered approach, always taking the time to listen and understand where a client is coming from. There is no one-size-fits-all solution. She tailors all treatment plans to meet the client’s specific needs. Laura looks forward to walking alongside you in your journey to wellness and healing.
